About Me

Smita Aggarwal, MD, is a pediatric and adult dermatologist at Rush. She earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency in dermatology at Loyola University Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in pediatric dermatology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.

 

Aggarwal has a special interest in medical dermatology, especially inflammatory disorders of the skin, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, alopecia, hidradenitis and vitiligo. She enjoys getting to know her patients’ entire families. To make sure each patient is comfortable with their treatment, she develops custom care planswith them based on their concerns, needs and lifestyle. She also givesadvice to help her patients feel the best in their skin, regardless of their age. 

 

In her free time, Aggarwal enjoys staying active by running, playing tennis, traveling and spending time with her husband and two boys.
