Now many of our patients are in and out of the hospital in one day, two days, and occasionally — not infrequently in fact — patients are home within four to five days after open-heart surgery. Previously many of these patients were in the hospital for weeks at a time.
Many of our patients are instrumental in referring neighbors and other family members for cardiovascular treatment. Spouses, children, and in fact I have one set of father, son, and grandson who have had surgery under my direction. So everyone is basically treated like family.
