Eating Away at Cognitive DeclineFollowing a diet that includes nuts, berries, whole grains and leafy greens may slow cognitive decline among older adults, even if they're not at risk of developing Alzheimer’s.
Any child who gets a study in the hospital — through the emergency room, as an outpatient — we will do their ultrasound or their X-ray.
We’ve recently tried some new techniques with MRI [magnetic resonance imaging] for a specific disease called Crohn’s disease, where we do a new study called MR Enterography, which is a different way to look at intestinal inflammation with MRI. So those patients don’t have to get radiation studies like CAT [computed axial tomography] scans over and over again.
Occasionally we get to be the heroes and make the final diagnosis, which is very gratifying because you’re the one that then gets to help this child go along the right path to get better.
