View Transcript We perform the entire gamut of general thoracic surgery, including chest wall surgery, the entire scope of esophageal surgery, in addition to operating on the lungs. We now operate through much smaller incisions so patients have less post-operative pain. They go home, on the average, a day earlier than they would have with the other procedure. But more importantly I think that they end up having less post-operative pain when they do go home — and they can return to their regular activities much faster than they could before. I encourage patients to use the Internet, and I encourage patients to get second opinions and become educated about their condition. But, it’s surprising how many patients can get misinformation from the Internet, and I think it’s really important that they talk with their doctors — referring doctors and other doctors that they have seen — regarding their condition.
