When a patient is referred to our practice, it is generally out of the concern of their physician that the pregnancy may need some extra support and some additional expertise.
It’s a special relationship with the patient. The fun part of my job is to work with them and make them feel better about what’s going on, and to help them get through the pregnancy and even after the pregnancy.
We have excellent results. And actually part of that is due to the maternal-fetal medicine practice. And a lot of it’s due to the neonatologists and the pediatricians and the nursing staff and the pediatric cardiologists that all work with us and work with the patients to make the good outcomes happen. So it’s really a team effort here at Rush.
