View Transcript Patients need time, and they need careful explanations. They need explanations in a language they can understand. They don’t need medical terminology. They need to know that there are options. They need to be involved in making choices for themselves, and they need to be reassured that the vast majority of time things come out very well.
Patient feedback is always the most important. If you hear a person say that they’re living better, enjoying more, doing more things, able to interact with their family more, in some cases able to go back to work, that’s real validation for anything you do. And you feel good for them. You feel good that you were able to help them.
