I think parents tend to really trust what their pediatrician has to say, and what I say tends to carry a lot of weight. So I have to make sure I am delivering good information to people.
I have families that I’ve seen at the birth of their first child, and they now have three children. So I ‘ve seen all three of them. And with each one I notice the dynamic changing with the older siblings and the parents becoming more relaxed, and I feel very privileged to be a part of that.
That’s a big part of what attracted me to pediatrics is that ability to feel like I can make a difference in this person’s life, and I can help to shape and mold healthy behaviors that can last a lifetime.
