View Transcript We are all doctors first. And therefore the comfort and treatment of our patients is first and foremost. So we try and set a tone with myself or my partners to try and put the patients at ease and assure them that they need to go no further. And whatever is best for them — whatever is available — we will be able to provide here at Rush University.
For certain types of congenital or acquired structural disorders of the heart — which have historically been treated with conventional open heart surgery — we at Rush can offer non-surgical, less invasive treatments of their heart disorders.
We all work together for the common good of the patient. So the traditional separations between us and surgery have disappeared. This is the vision of the Rush Center for Congenital and Structural Heart Disease.
