I am involved in reconstruction. I’m involved in hand surgery. I’m involved in cosmetic surgery.
I devote the majority of my time as an oncoplastic surgeon. We have basically concentrated on taking care of patients who present with cancer, and then it’s my job to proceed with the reconstruction. If somebody has a bone tumor, and this requires a removal, then we’ll go ahead and reconstruct with a total knee. And then it requires plastic surgery. Someone requires a mastectomy, then we can go ahead and perform our breast reconstruction.
We have found that it’s very important to devote a lot of time and effort and concentrate on these reconstructive procedures and modalities, so that people can people can go back to living their normal lives. They can look good. They can feel good. We concentrate on function, as well as form and beauty.
