• It’s a particularly challenging time for patients to come see a specialist such as myself. And I try to put them at ease when they do come see me, so that they can share their problems, and we can get to fixing them. I start with first making sure I understand their problem, then making sure I understand how their problem affects their life, and then working with them to design the best treatment for both the condition they have, as well as the lifestyle they want to live.

  I think the experiences when I have a grateful patient who says, “Thank you for being there. Thank you for making me feel comfortable. Thank you for giving me my life back.” — that really tells me that I’m in the right place.
